Jan 7, 2010 - A few weeks ago I couldn't believe my luck that I inherited a Gateway GT4010 PC with 2 GB of RAM, a 200 GB hard drive and a AMD 64-bit and Nvidia GeForce 6100 graphics card. Had a bad OS so I got it free. I installed windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit version and upgraded to 4 GB RAM, much as it can hold. And this guy has pretty much the same PC and is calling it an "old" computer, only suited to us 3/5th human peasants.

Mar 8, 2010 - I have been doing the same thing for many years. It is very easy to do. Right now, my son has an old 1.8 GhZ Celeron running on WinXP. He uses it regularly as a PVR/DVR and it does an excellent job. Not only that, he can use the computer for other tasks at the same time.
